SKIES Unlimited is the framework for the Army’s Child & Youth (CYS) instructional program.  It consists of classes designed to compliment and support the experiences children and youth have in Army CYS and in schools.  The goal is to ensure predictability and consistency in the availability, affordability and quality of the instructional classes offered.

Children and youth may choose from a myriad of classes offered by the School of Arts, School of Sports, School of Life Skills and School of Academic Skills.  Young people participate in classes for a variety of reasons: to pursue and nurture personal interests, to interact socially with others, to build a resume, to bolster a college application, or to foster close relationships with caring, knowledgeable adults outside the home.  Instructional programs teach children discipline, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution, game rules social etiquette and subject matter content.

SKIES Unlimited offers instructional classes for youth of military and DoD civilians. Most classes will be held at the Family Zone Community Center.  Children need to be registered with the Child and Youth Services.  Annual registration is $18 for one child per year, $36.00 for 2 children per year and/ or $40.00 for 3 or more children in the family.  Information and registration for all classes is available at buildings #600 Central Registration or #297 Youth Services, or call 384-3862.
